@Admin Trust me i've tried everything on my end to contact paypal and try to dispute this. It sickens me to see people like this actually exist in the world but i really wanted to raise awareness on this and many scammers taking money from hard working people. I'm a single parent of 2 and having $500 dollars taken from me is a tough pill to swallow. It seems major companies like e--bay and Paypal have no care for people getting scammed and i'm a prime example. I've provided evidence of being scammed yet the case gets awarded to the scammer. Makes no sense and all i request if fair justice. I understand scammers could also be buyers but if i provide evidence of being scammed and yet the case goes the other way makes people like me lose faith in the system and having major companies only care about their business and not the customers themselves.
We fully understand your frustrations. I do generally feel bad for what happened to you as we know the pain you're going through as it's happened to us many times. Then you have cases where they do side with the consumer even though they're deliberately trying to commit fraud. The only recommendation I can advise for you to do here is: - Never send payment by family and friends. It gives you 0 protection - Always use a middleman in a high risk industry If the seller is unwilling to do this, don't do business with them. You're the consumer and their customer so you have all the right to set the rules. If they don't want your business, no problem, others will be flexible. Doing good business is having both parties compromise.
I merged your complaint. What I can do for you here is try to reach out to our PayPal Account Manager. We're already trying to do this for @Rolan on another case of his and waiting for an update. Meanwhile I did do some research and your scammer is now the 1st post in this dispute. Basically a kid in Indonesia frauded you and PayPal allowed him to do business with their site and get away with it.
Thank you for the compassion. It's the first time i haven't gotten a run around from a highly reputable company.
Thanks a lot! @Invisiblechet let's both hope to get a better outcome with PlayerUp.com's assistance than of the PayPal company itself.
Okay I have an update and unfortunately it's not good news @Invisiblechet What is mind boggling here is the persons account was "Verified" by PayPal yet according to our PayPal Account Manager he has no bank account or credit card attached to his account. Also the account is a business account under CSGO which is a false business name. We thought we could help you here and get a dispute opened with PayPal because his account was supposedly verified with PayPal. It's pretty disgusting how PayPal would verify this account when the business name is fake, he is an under-aged teenager in Indonesia and not even ask for a bank account and credit card. The end result is this. His account has a negative balance of -$400.00 from someone else. Basically someone did a reversal on one of their payments they sent to him as well like you but reversed it so he owes PayPal money. So because they allowed this kid to become verifiel, the end result is PayPal is going to lose $400.00 themselves. PayPal advertises security and this is just one of the many examples of why they aren't as secure as they are made out to be.
Your case is a bit more complex but with you I think we can make an attempt to try to help but no guarantee we will be able to fix it. In a complex situation with your case because we thought we didn't need to specifically do what you want us to do.
D*mn! And here I am made an effort to get my paypal account verified for that kind of service? Fingers crossed @Admin, hope PayPal may be considerate enough to make this request possible so I can go back to my business.
I wonder people always seen the harm of paypal and other direct payment method but still using that ways. In my opinion , better ways to deal is middleman, despite a take time but it worth and the process is totally safe with middleman.
