Stole Money Seller changed password after I logged in once. Can't access account now and I paid.

    hjboo. This is first thing I tried on the weekend when we had our problem.
    Problem is even if I change password through that link (which I did), 2 step verification is still on with a phone number that is not mine. Phone beats every alternative means of recovery in general and that's why I contacted google support to fully recover my account. Still waiting for their response.
    Remain patient as multiple attempts from different locations by different people can possibly lock out the account and make it more difficult to prove ownership.

    Plus I work full time and over time so I can only get to it after-hours.
    I am annoyed enough to handle this in my busy life but I'm doing what I can do to help.
    Meanwhile, you check if anybody else is logged into your email account by different device.

    Nobody has my email information. My network is protected and I have had no problems with security. I had requested that reset when this problem first happened. I haven't tried to access it since. The email they sent me said they were sending you a link to reset so I am not sure what the problem is. And, your email was still linked as the backup so let me know when it's done. I also run my own business and have 4 young children so I understand and am going through the same hassle as you here. The money is still out of my account and I don't have anything to show for it.
