In the process of trying to SE a Shield TV. I have the SN, PN, and even a picture of the box with that on it. They are asking for a receipt of purchase. I said that I received it as a gift a few months ago and they want me to try to get the receipt from the person I received it as a gift from. Should I keep trying to say I can't get it from them? Or should I get someone to edit a receipt for me? And if I do a photoshopped receipt, will they check the order number or anything?
