I'll start off by saying, never tried SE'ing before, and I'm not asking this question from experience. When reading through posts on this forum, I'm noticing that it sounds like plenty of communication is done via phone (or Skype), which makes sense, but I'm unfamiliar with what course of action would be taken when the company "asks for a police report". Now, I don't get how police reports quite work (I'm a good snowflake), though how do you personally go about this scenario? Just wondering if you'd say "I'll get one ASAP and call you back.", then never call back. Or, in general conversations, if they ask a question you can't answer - is a sudden hang-up ever a viable last resort?
