Hello! I know it sounds kind of weird, but in order to do a special modification to it that I want to do, I'm looking for an original DS (not a DS lite) that has a certain firmware, specifically v5. The firmware is really easy to check, and if anyone has a DS of v5 firmware, I'll buy it right away. So here's how to check the firmware: Instructions Step 1: Put DS or GBA game cartridge into DS Step 2: Turn on DS (hold down start while powering on if you have auto mode) Step 3: Load up the built in app Pictochat from the DS main menu and go into any chat room Step 4: Take DS/GBA cartridge out while in Pictochat Step 5: Done Versions v1: Pictochat freezes v2: two greyish blue screens v3: two dark green screens v4: two golden yellow screens v5: two magenta screens v6: two dark blue screens If anyone has a v5 DS, PLEASE let me know, been trying to track one down for a while and they're really hard to come by.
