It seems that sometimes when you attempt to SE Starbucks, they will now instead ask for you to call their support team. If you did not make an actual purchase on a real Starbucks card at that time and date, they will instead have the Store/District manager call you. I am currently on step 3, the store manager calling me, and will be updating based on what happens. I assume they will attempt to validate the purchase in their system as my order being made at the time, place, and date that I made it. This indicates Starbucks has recently been raped too hard, and is now putting in place measures to prevent this in future. Of course, Starbucks is still refundable, but getting a free giftcard is now more difficult in some instances.
