I Attended Minecon 2015 with my Son and I still have an unused 2015 cape code. I've avoided Ebay due to the risk of chargeback and someone recently recommended this site to me instead. 2 questions : 1. Can I sell a cape code on here or is it restricted to accounts? 2. If answer to question 1 is yes, then what is the best way of going about the sale to protect both buyer and seller? Thanks.
1. Yes you can. 2. Use PlayerUp Middleman Services - Middleman: Sellers Guide | PlayerUp Accounts Marketplace. Player 2 Player Secure Platform.
Thanks for prompt reply. However, using middleman services what is to stop a buyer from saying the code was a dud / already been used? Would I provide middleman with the code link and the buyer provide the middleman with their log in details so that the middleman can confirm and apply the code to the buyers account?
Not that I am aware of but this isn't something I'm experienced with - I'm just a Dad who took his Son to Minecon. From what I recall when my Son applied the cape to his account you click on a link in an email from Mojang which takes you through to the Mojang website. Once you login at Mojang with your Minecraft account and password then the cape is applied to that account. Safest way for buyer and seller I can think of is that the seller provides the email link to the middle man and the buyer provides their mojang login details to the middleman. The middleman would then apply the cape code to the buyers account and then the buyer can change their password. If that doesn't work then I guess I could create an account, apply the cape code, and then look to sell teh account with cape included if that is any safer.
This works and yes PlayerUp Middleman Services can do either or but obviously #1 is likely the route they'd go.
