Stole Money TruHins scammer. Scammed me and he is lying to try to get ME banned. DONT BUY FROM HIM!!

    So I saw his acc for sale. I was interested but I come from a fairly poor family and dont have a stable job atm. I decided to trade my acc for his and some money. We changed the deal to just money. I paid half, and he gave me the "account". He didnt remove the authentication, yet I had changed the email and password, I didnt know the authentication could chnage it all. Trusting him, I paid the rest, he lied, and removed me. I was going to go through the Middleman service till I realized there is a cost, and I would need MORE money to pay Middleman. I am pretty broke so I didnt have money to spare. Ended up losing $80.

    One of your screenshots does not clearly show PayPal email of the seller. Is it [email protected] that you've filled out on the form here? Can you confirm this by uploading the clearer screenshot of this PayPal transaction?

    Meanwhile, you may open a dispute on PayPal. I see that you paid to this user as friends & family. Anyway, you may still open a dispute with supported proof there. PayPal listens and holds money to investigate in some cases.

    Yes, it is the correct email used.

    I dont know how to open a dispute on Paypal if sent with Friends and Family, do you mind helping me? Or maybe send me a video link I can watch to follow the steps on how to?

    If you paid it via a debit,credit or bank, contact your bank immediately and tell them that you were scammed by a online fraud and would like the money to be disputed/put on hold, the process may take up to 90 days but you will get your money back(Banks almost never loses, paypal is just the median party)

    If you dispute it through your credit card company(if that's what you paid via), it charges the scammer an extra $20.00-$25.00 fee even if he somehow wins.

    If you used paypal balance, this is where paypal is the sole mediator, I would advise you to dispute it as non-receipt, write exactly what happened and include links and pictures of the scammers banned profiles and show his IP and whatnot so u can conclusively link his banned scamming account to that paypal account, then call paypal and ask for a note to be made on the case regarding u calling in and ask them if there is anything they can do.

    I used a bunch of prepaid gift cards, as I had said, Im fairly poor and used the money I had from birthdays to try and purchase the account.
    I cant call of email the prepaid card company as they dont accept that in their policy.

    I have marked the payment as unauthorized, so I hope paypal can refund me the money that way. If not then oh well, its a lesson learned for a next time.

    Please get @TruHins banned, he doesnt deserve to be part of this website.

    Is it possible to upload the screenshot that clearly show Truhin's PayPal email address ? It's important here if you need our help to investigate.
    Try with your bank first as I suggested earlier. If you can settle this issue with your bank, you don't need to contact PayPal.

    @MitchNM You may do some research before buying next time. This PayPal email and other contact email are involved with previous scams both on the site and off the site.

    I never mentioned the Middleman fee. I didnt even KNOW there was a middleman fee until he had told me. I didnt know the amount since it doesnt say it in playerup, so I decided that instead of being $15 poorer, I wanted to get the account faster. I sold an account a week ago and Middleman hasnt paid me, that is why I hate middleman so much.

    Resolve your PayPal dispute and stop creating multiple accounts. All of your multiple accounts are marked with red-flag now.

    Didnt phrase it right. If you read the skype conversation, I clearly dont know any type of Middleman cost till he tells me. I wrote "I was going to go through the Middleman service till I realized there is a cost, and I would need MORE money to pay Middleman. I am pretty broke so I didnt have money to spare. Ended up losing $80." in the dispute. This was written AFTER i had already been scammed. I still didnt know the fee was not as much till you just told me.

    I know what you meant. I saw what you wrote so I only wanted to let you know that Middleman fee is not expensive when I was suggesting what you can do in the future such as doing some research and still using Middleman service.

    I hope my paypal dispute gets resolved soon.

    @Avatar PR TruHins is back. I was looking through the steam accounts forums and found a fairly weird new post. Someone by the name of Kimo95 posted this on the forum:  Selling -  NO VAC - LVL 55 - CSGO,PUBG,RL,GTA V, CS SKINS - ONLY 80$ 24HR OFFER | PlayerUp Accounts Marketplace. Player 2 Player Secure Platform.

    If you have common sense, you can see the profile picture and notice it is the same as @TruHins profile picture. Also, the post is the exact same as the one @TruHins used. Word by word. This is obviously him. He definitely just changed his IP and is trying to scam again.

    As you can tell, I dont want to @ - Kimo95 because I dont want him to know that I've found him again.

    Please respond ASAP as I dont want him to be scamming anyone else. :(

    How can you protect yourself from these type of scams in the future?
    I strongly recommend in the future to use PlayerUp Middleman Services to protect yourself from these type of scams. Here is how it works for buyers (Buyers Guide) and here is how it works for sellers (Sellers Guide).

    Is there anything we can do to assist you still with this dispute?
    Please read this guide (Guide - Combat Fraud Service). All we need is the scammers full name and address and we can assist you further.

    What can you do next to resolve this issue?
    Since this is a PayPal transaction, you need to immediately go to PayPal and open a dispute hopefully before the seller moves those funds. In order to do that, go to your paypal receipt, and see the area where it says resolution or dispute payment. Open a dispute and provide them as much proof as possible. Contact PayPal as well and ask them what you need to do to win a dispute. Keep in constant communication with paypal. If you sent the payment by family and friends then unfortunately those funds are lost as you cannot dispute those payments and we strongly advise against sending friends and family payments in the future even if the seller requires it you can easily say no. For more information, please contact PayPal.

    Can PlayerUp provide compensation for this dispute?
    Since this is a non middleman transaction and PlayerUp wasn't directly involved with safeguarding your payment and guaranteeing your transaction we will unfortunately not be able to provide any compensation for you on this transaction as you dealt directly with the individual for which you're submitting a complaint against in this ticket.     How can I protect myself in the future?
    We strongly advise that you don't conduct business offsite. This is the #1 way scammers attract buyers and sellers is they lure them offsite and then bait them into anything because they have no consequences for their actions. If you did business on site, then disregard this message as the majority of scams are done offsite.
