We sticky and highlight all threads that have middleman checkout links So I'm interested, why some threads are sticky, while others are not? I'm pretty sure that not all sellers who have sticky thread bought a sticky for 30$, or have pro membership. So how does it work?
I think that those who paid for their stickies always remains on top just below the @Middleman post and always above to those who didn't paid for a sticky. Those who only has Middleman Link in their threads has an option to ask the @Middleman or @Admin for their threads to get stickied at the Help Section or wait for them to sticky it manually. Those threads, unlike the paid stickies, always moves down as long as there are other threads that are also stickied gets Bumped or has new replies. Just like what you see on normal threads.
We restricted @Middleman from using the "Sticky" Option last month. Just too many complications and it became a headache for them as 10+ people were requesting it a day. Currently our sticky option only runs 3 times a week. If we make it run more than 3 times a week, it slows down the site. In development is an automated sticky system which will sticky threads every 2-4 hours. We had a setback on that as of Thursday BUT we should hopefully eventually have that completed. We'll make an announcement in the News and Announcements Section when completed. For now, we ask that you submit a ticket in the HELP section or wait for our 3 times per week sticky tool to run.
