Ok so I decided to give amazon.es a shot given that I've done UK too many times and also its near impossible to do now. My order arrived today and I scribble signed it, it was delivered from a small courier which I havent heard of before. I went through using the empty box excuse on live chat and they said they will investigate and get back to me within 24-48 hours. Also the package came in no usual amazon box, just the plain product box with the delivery stickers on it. I wonder if it will impact the guy who delivered it as this is not the usual royal mail or other big delivery carrier. I wouldn't be too happy if this got the guy into trouble, or even worse come knocking on my door. Thanks
