    Before the transaction begins,

☆﹒You should already have the account you're giving to the other party ready by unlinking any linked third party accounts or phone number, change the password in case it's a personal one or one that's shared with your other accounts.

☆﹒If the third party account linked isn't yours, you're unable to unlink it or if the account has # abyss, please let the other party know. You should also ask the other party if there's any issues on the account they're giving you.

    A. How transactions go

    1. Trust trades [NOT recommended, use a middleman]

    a) Account ➞ Account [ You go first ]

    • Other party logs into the account you're giving them [in game or hoyoverse website], sends a code to change the email, once changed, you log into the account they're giving you and send a code to change the email

    OR

    • You ask the other party which email they'd like linked on the account you're giving them, send a code to change the email and once you've changed it, let the other party know which email you'd like linked on the account they're giving you and send them the code to change the email.

    b) Account ➞ Account [ You go second ]

    • You log into the account the other party is giving you and send a code to change the email, once changed, the other party logs into the account you're giving them then asks for a code to change the email

    OR

    • Let the other party know which email you'd like linked on the account they're giving you, once they've changed it, ask the other party which email they'd like linked on the account you're giving them and send a code to them.

    c) Account ➞ currency [ You go first ]

    • The buyer logs into the account you're giving them, sends a code to change the email, once changed, they send you the payment with the agreed method of payment.

    OR

    • You ask the the buyer which email they'd like linked on the account you're giving them, once you've changed it, they send you the payment with the agreed method of payment.

    d) Account ➞ currency [ You go second ]

    • The buyer sends you the payment with the agreed method of payment, once you've received the payment, they log into the account you're giving them, and send a code to change the email.

    OR

    • The buyer sends you the payment with the agreed method of payment. You'll ask the the buyer which email they'd like linked on the account you're giving them and send them a code to change the email.
Once everything is good to go, both of you should change the password and log out all previously logged in devices.

    1. Transaction with a middleman [ Highly recommended ]

    a) Account ➞ Account

    • Middleman logs into both acccounts, sends screenshots of everything relevant to each party, once each party has confirmed everything is in place and once the middleman is sure the accounts are the same as advertised, the middleman changes the emails to ones both parties don't have access to and secures the account, once secured, they send the log in information for both the emails and accounts to their new owners.

    b) Account ➞ Currency

    • Middleman logs into the account, sends screenshots of everything relevant to the buyer, once the buyer has confirmed everything is in place and the middleman is sure the account is same as advertised, the middleman changes the email to one the seller doesn't have access to and secures the account, once secured, they send the log in information for both the email and account to its new owner.

    B. Commonly faced issues when changing the email or password

    1. " Too many requests, please try again later. "

    Reasons :

    a) Email or password was changed recently

    b) Account is inactive

    c) Hoyoverse is being mean

    Solutions :

    • Use an incognito or private browser

    • Use a VPN with a private connection [ such as 1.1.1.1, yes that's an app ]

    • Use a VPN that can change your IP to make it seem like you're in another location

    • Wait a couple of days & be active on the account

    • Link a phone number and instead of sending a code to the email, send it to the phone number instead

    • Contact Hoyoverse CS and ask them to change the email for you [ ONLY WORKS IF YOU HAVE THE RECOVERY INFORMATION & RECEIPTS ESPECIALLY THE FIRST ONE ]

    • If none of the above work and there's no username, link a username and try again

    2. " Current network environment at risk. "

    Reasons :

    • POSSIBLY due to hoyoverse thinking there's a MITM [ this information may be incorrect ! ]

    Solutions :

    • Use an incognito or private browser

    • Use a VPN with a private connection

    • Use a different internet connection [ WIFI / Mobile Data ]

    • If you always use a VPN, disable it, only if you use a VPN 24/7 and never turn it off

    [ PC ONLY ]

    • Reset network configuration [ Only do this if you know what you're doing ]
      • Change DNS settings [ Change the preferred DNS server to 8.8.8.8 & Alternate DNS server to 8.8.4.4 Only do this if you know what you're doing ]

    • Disable firewall

Use the solutions at your own risk. This is information I've gathered from a few searches, some solutions are used by many people everyday, some are unheard of and may be risky. [ like the PC ONLY solutions.]
