This is from my personal experiences not from anything set in stone so please be aware of that.

What do i mean by false/virus YouTube video? Videos that offer something you want (usually a # or some other tool, or maybe a pirated game and its actually just a virus).

Comments- When you first look at a video and everyones saying "Wow this is awesome" "thanks bro" pretty much only complimenting it, that itself isnt a sign of a virus. However if all of the comments were posted in the same day or even week, theres a pretty good chance that someone posted a request on a forum somewhere asking for people to make those comments (ive seen it done here on d3scene already too).

Title- If the video is title includes something like "Updated 9/15/12" in other words a date thats within about a month of the current date then thats just an obvious sign of trying to get attention, again not something that may be true 100% of the time but you can probably bet it is 98% of the time. Same thing applies if they have "!!!!!!!!!!!" in the title. Just gotta watch out for those things that look sketchy as hell.

Likes- If the video has likes disabled just go back while you can. And if it has 5 likes and 5000 dislikes you should add another dislike and move on.

This is just some general info but for me if a video includes any of the things listed i dont touch them, so far i have yet to get a virus from a YouTube download so its worked pretty well so far.

    A couple more red flags:

Download link leads to a "free survey"

Of course for those still curious you can always download it anyway and just upload the file to a multi-scan site before you run it.

    vscan.novirusthanks.org

    virusscan.jotti.org

    virustotal.com

And if you're trying to get a keygen or other files that commonly give false positives you can always run it in a sandbox, or better yet in a VM.

I wouldn't waste my time on a survey even if i knew it was legit.

I usually never trust youtube videos because most of them are scams.

Especially if they seem too good to be true.

IE: "lol click here and download wow item dupe" or "Zomg lolrp # right here"

    Surveys are love you

I fell for those scams one time and when i think back on it i think to myself "the hell was i smoking?".

hi thanks for your information really helpful to me
