Selling How are you supposed to make tags last?

I'm getting sick and tired of Xbox force resetting my account's gamertag, I just lost a final - and this has happened multiple times. How am I supposed to avoid this?
It just became permanently banned , and name was force reset. Nothing new to me though, I'm debating if I should ever buy tags again very upset.

For those wondering I did not ever mention anything about selling my account, and barely even messaged people. If I did it was to send messages such as "Good game" or when randoms would compliment my tag and I would just quickly reply "Thanks, I like yours too!"

I buy these for gaming purposes, not for selling. I'm just an Xbox fan I see these as kind of like collector's items all the gamertags I've bought I had no intention to sell anyway.

I always buy only fresh accounts, but it's like either way whenever it appears somebody reports the account for either trolling or jealousy, Xbox can see on their end the account leaving the original owner's IP so it's like what's the point? They can see it's been sold on their end.

I opened this appeal on the enforcement website not in the hopes I would get my tag back, but I was just curious on what they would say, and sure enough they can always track when it's been bought so I'm starting to think what even is the point of buying these? Can somebody tell me if there is some way to avoid this?

Also this specific tag that was just lost was even claimed by BlackListed by the seller, Is there a way to avoid this happening?
