Provide All Chat Logs and Additional Information Below so this guy claims that he is selling his wizard101 account for $249. i messaged him in gmail and told him that i will buy it and he messages me back like 1 or 2 hours after. we talked and negotiated it and first time i tried to pay him, it failed because he couldnt receive it so he refunded the money back. we tried to second method which was transferwise. he told me to send it on there and i did which i sent him $249 dollars. first, he says that he cant claim it and sent it back to me but i messaged transferwise and they said that if the person i sent the money to refunds and cancels the money, they will notify me but i did not get any notify on my gmail. so i kind of thought this was weird and he kept on saying to wait for 4-5 days which i waited for 3-4 days now and i dont have my money back yet. so i told him to send screenshots of the cancellation and such but he never did. i asked for it for 3 times already and he doesnt even send it and changes subject. he even told me that if i pay him half of the price, i will get the account and pay the other price later. which i told him no and such but he kept on saying some stuff and i payed him $45 to start off with. After that, he then says that he didnt recieve the money once again. the reason he cant receive the money is that the name might have been switch or it doesnt match his bank account and we tried both ways but it didnt work. so i knew something was up. I ask for the account too and tell him to trust me and i shown proof for him to trust me by trying to pay him but he kept on being super cautious like he was scamming me to pay first. So i message transferwise again telling them that i sent a person some money and he the person says that he will cancel the money and refund it to me but the company says that the person who i sent the money too did not refund the money at all and they could not find any refunds and such. so this is when i knew that i got scammed. I lost $280+ dollars trying to buy a account and was being nice until now.

User is a repeat scammer. Should never e-mail someone with one post and trust them with 280$. If you can recover those funds, you should do so immediately. There isn't anything we can do on your end as you went off-site to do the transaction. Good luck.
