If you really want a Nintendo Switch but can't seem to find one in the stores for retail, all you gotta do is...

    1) Get a serial number from someone reselling a Nintendo Switch (just say something along the lines of verifying for authenticity so you need the sn)

    2) Call Nintendo and say you have an issue with the switch you purchased (screen malfunctioning, battery leak, dock is not working, etc)

    3) They will tell you that they are sending a box for you to ship the defective switch blah blah, takes around 3 weeks to repair

    4) Complain that 3 weeks is absolutely ridiculous, that you preordered so you can play the console as soon as possible, not wait. Mention advanced replacement

    5) They will escalate it and will then allow you to get an advanced replacement (which is a retail nintendo switch they have reserved for warranty replacements). You give them payment info and now you're an owner of a new switch for retail! They will ask you to ship the old switch back and refund you, but obviously you don't have a switch yet so....

    6) Once you're happily playing zelda with your new switch, you can stop there and be happy you got a switch for retail or you can..

claim you cannot ship it out due to a variety of reasons or ship it out and...

-battery leak, illegal to ship out, courier refuses to take
-get anti tamper tape, cut it open, tape over it, claim you had anti tamper tape on and someone must've stole it
-you got aids and your blood is on it
-idk man be creative u got this

hope this helps! I can vouch nintendo is SEable and that I have received a new switch from them for free :)
