    There are Seller Protection Icons listed all over every single thread on this website so people read them before transferring any payment or account information. In addition in every conversation we post a warning notice so users are aware how middleman services works.



    When you click on them you go to this page: https://www.playerup.com/support-tickets/knowledge-base/middleman-sellers-guide.20/. At the very top, we clearly posted:

    How will middleman services contact me?
    All middleman transactions are conducted on PlayerUp.com only. Never release any information, perform any service or release any payments if you're a seller unless @middleman contacts you through the Conversation Ticket System. PlayerUp Middleman Services will never contact you through e-mail, discord, steam, facebook, whatsapp, kik, skype, or any 3rd party service. If somebody contacts you offsite claiming they are from PlayerUp, it is a scam.

    In addition we post:

    When should I release my account information to the buyer?
    Never release your account information unless (@Middleman) contacts you through the PlayerUp Conversation Ticket System. We will never contact you through e-mail, discord, facebook, whatsapp, kik, skype, or any 3rd party service. All middleman transactions are done through PlayerUp.com for security reasons.

    I have spoken to the live chat team here. My understanding here is that:

    1. You listed an item for sale.
    2. Someone contacted you on discord.
    3. The person on discord said he paid.
    4. You received emails from [email protected] saying someone paid.
    5. You then transferred your data to this person through discord.

    Unfortunately the bad news here is this person has scammed you pretending to have a fake transaction.

    This person sent you emails from [email protected] by spoofing our email which anyone can do - Email spoofing - Wikipedia

    For example anyone can send an email from [email protected] or [email protected] by simply spoofing an email and changing the FROM address to make it look like they're sending an email.

    Now if you believe this is a mistake, you have 2 options:

    1. Our live chat team can privately tell you what to do here next.

    2. You can confront the person on discord that did this to you and ask him to provide complete and full evidence he paid us as he claims he did. We would ask for significant proof so if you still don't believe us then simply ask the buyer to provide evidence.
