I am selling Fitbits on ebay. The listing always says that they come in replacement packaging, because I SE'd like 20 units to my house and none of them was retail. So 1 week ago I sold another one and today I got a message from the customer I sent it to. He asked why the unit did come in retail. Well ffs, I just lost like 50$. People on ebay don't want to pay much for Fitbits that lack accessories, that's why I am selling them for pretty cheap. The problem with direct-selling is you don't know what's going to be sent. That's part of the business I guess.

I wonder how many of the units I already SE'd did come in retail. If I was the customer I wouldn't notify the seller. Also I know that for example in Australia almost every replacement is retail but in this country that is/was not the case.

Did that already happen to you as well?
