Recently I have installed a homeserver and have installed a vbulletin board. While I was trying to edit the home page an error showed up having to do with MySQL. I would be grateful if someone could point me out which privilidges should i grant to the MySQL user vbulletin uses.

    Waiting for a helpful reply

It would be better if you can post the type of MYSQL error you received, so that admins can help you.

Edit the homepage? Like Razathru said, please explain more.

How were you editing the homepage? What error code/message did you receive?

The user that you're allowing access to the vBulletin # should have full permissions. Also, your /includes/config.php file should be filled in appropriately and correctly.

yes. Thats what i need help with, the permisions. What priviledges/permissions should i grant to the user vbulletin uses? and if there is another way to grant FULL access to the user what the command might be? sry for late response^^ just noticed it^^

The MySQL user should have full permissions to the # that vBulletin uses on your homeserver.

If you are uploading files via FTP, then highlight all the files and right click > Permissions > 777

File all the files as 777 permissions.

If that doesn't work, then sorry but I tried.

Yeah, you're right. I would suggest you the same.

Send me a screenshot of the error message that you're getting; that will be the best way to describe your problem.
