Sold Basic Python Homework help (Greyscale img Edge Detections)

Hey,

Had to make a new account as I forgot login for old one, but here goes...

I'm not particularly good with graphics and absolute rookie to Python (Been lazy and focused energy on other modules). I've got an exam to hand-in in a few hours, which I can't finish. I've written the required code using 3x3 sobel kernel for the assignment.

Code isn't entirely honest, but it works. I need someone to do two sections of the hand-in for me.
1) an explanation of the algorithm
3) an explanation of the code
