Sold Advice to monetize my theme page!

I have an instagram. theme page with 1,100 followers, growing at a rate of 150 followers per week. I want to start monetizing the page but I'm stuck with which approach to take.

1. Blogging - Create a "news/magazine" style blog with articles related to my theme page. This allows for affiliate and ad revenue (The best long-term decision however much more work).
2. Sell products - Sell products possibly through affiliate links (quicker and easier to set up).

Is it worth setting this up now? or should I wait until I hit a certain follower count?



I've reached over 12,000 accounts in the last 30 days so I thought having something to monetize my account would be beneficial.



Any advice/guidance?
