On behalf of fellow students i'm looking for someone to complete a small part of an assigment in public economics, sort of a microeconomics subject.
Payment via paypal. Are there anyone capable of completing the assignment beneath by tonight?

    The assignment:

Suppose two companies release pollutants. The marginal cost of reducing pollution for company 1 is MC⌄1 = 300e⌄1. Marginal cost for company 2 is given by MC⌄2 = 100e⌄2-e⌄1. e2 is emission reductions (in tonnes) for respectively company 1 as well.
Suppose that without the authorities' involvement, the emissions in the company are equal to 100 units, while the emissions in company 2 are equal to 80.

    a)
Suppose the authorities decide to reduce total pollution by 40 units. In order for this emission reduction to be achieved at the lowest possible cost (cost-effective), how much should each company reduce its emissions?

    b)
How much should the emission tax be to achieve cost efficiency. What will be the total tax burden for each company?

    c)
Suppose the government, instead of an emission tax, introduces a discharge permit system and issues 140 transferable emission permits. Each of the permits allows the company to discharge one ton of pollution. Company 1 is good at lobbying and convinces the government to issue 100 permits for itself and only 40 business permits 2. How many permits have been traded between these companies? What is the minimum amount paid (in total) for these permits? With how many tons will each of the companies end up reducing their emissions?

    Blank Contract
