Asked for gift cards for fee payments $50 for middleman and $50 for playerup I did put in a ticket asking if this was normal see, but got no response. sent two $50 gift cards. I need some help. 1. We are aware of this individual as he is scamming many websites and using PayPal as an outlet to exploit people financially. 1. Go to the e-mail they sent you, report it as spam. I am shockingly surprised google has not put this guy in spam yet. 2. Dispute the payment. If you sent it as family and friends, call PayPal and tell them this guy is exploiting sending phishing e-mails and scamming people left and right. If they aren't helpful on the phone, hang up and try again. If they still won't help, speak to a manager and don't get off the phone until they have helped you out. Ultimately PayPal is the core issue here. They allow this to happen. For us we ban this person but he is using various channels to try to get around our systems. Ultimately in the end be careful. We never conduct business through e-mail, never will, never have.
Actually regarding this. I maybe wrong here. You stated gift cards above. Maybe PayPal finally did ban him. What gift cards did you send to him? Sounds like somebody probably located in India or Bangladesh.
That should have said eBay gift cards. I did post a ticker asking if this was right and no one responded and still haven’t.
