1. Make screenshots mandatory. Make sure there is one of base, one of each side of the lab, and one of their chat with their username and player up posted in it as proof. One of heroes if applicable. This right here will eliminate most scammers. 2. Require a middleman link on all sale threads. 3. Make details required and standardize the header, for instance, th#, lvl#, asking price. Seems like a ton of time is spent just waiting for someone to get screwed so they can be suspended. Start being proactive instead of reactive.
1. Aren't screenshots already mandatory? I think people just ignore threads without screenshots 2. but MM is optional service.
Problem is we have seen scammers also post screenshots. Some people also don't know how to take screenshots and add them later. Typically you'll see buyers ask for screenshots as proof before paying. We also recommend this in our Safe Trading Guides. PlayerUp is an all-in-one website. We're trying to build a "flexible" community where it's up to the buyer and seller to decide what they want. This is something we are already working on adding and should be updated in one of the upcoming PlayerUp releases. Typically it's just best practice to deal with reputable sellers and anyone not reputable you ask a few questions before making your purchase to determine if they are fraud or ready to go with the transaction.
Many do yes. If someone isn't serious about actually posting details on what they're selling, then you can tell right away they aren't a serious seller. Some people post things such as TH9 and then say Kik me for details. These are examples of sellers who should be ignored and we go through and filter them out throughout the day.
