The middleman exists to make it so it's harder to get scammed. But yes, no website in existence pays for someone who got scammed - it is also up to the buyer to trust the seller. Hence why you shouldn't be buying off untrusted individuals with nothing to lose. If you had bought it directly from him and trusted him, you'd have been scammed. He waited until PlayerUp paid him to then retrieve the account from you. I understand the frustrations, but this is what account buying is like when you deal with someone who has nothing to lose.
