    How to Report a Dispute
Please fill out all 9 questions below. You must provide proof or your claim cannot be validated.

    1. Date Dispute Happened
The first contact we had was on Chicken Smoothie on Sat, Apr 28 in PMs. Chrysalism taunted me on Discord this morning (May 27), calling me a "lil love you on their high horse" for asking them to respect artists along with boasting about their successful con of 20+ artists and (at least) one other USD scam. I've spoken to 1 of the artists and they confirmed it was a scam; 2 others have told me of Chrysalism's shady behavior that turned rude upon being pressured for transparency.
All correspondence is linked at the bottom.

    2. Are You The Buyer or Seller
I was the side paying with real money (steam gift card codes were purchased via offgamers.com), Chrysalism was supposed to pay with Chicken Smoothie pets. I don't even play CS:GO so everything I spent was for the sole purpose of offsite.

    3. Total Transaction Value
$140 -- I was supposed to be reimbursed $40 through paypal as PlayerUp and G2Apay were blocked by my bank and we used the steam marketplace. The agreed upon value for the trade was $100, but Chrysalism said they'd reimburse $40 through paypal and along with never doing that, never delivered my petsite goods either.

    4. Other Parties Username
ChrysalismII on steam; Chrysalism on Chicken Smoothie (though the account is now banned), Chrysalism#9699 on discord

    5. Method Used To Pay or Receive Payment
I sent via Steam trading (item bought with USD), I was supposed to receive $40 in paypal and these goods on Chicken Smoothie (requires log in to view)

    6. Other Parties Email Addresses
    They refused contact via email, but gave me their discord after I repeatedly asked for transparency. Most of the trade was negotiated via Chicken Smoothie PMs. I've found a couple that check out when cross referenced;
[email protected] <-- checks out with the name 'Kate' listed on their steam profile, also linked by KokoSeal's dispute thread.
[email protected] <-- mentioned themself here, checks out with their youtube account used to upload the video against KokoSeal

They have an old Chicken Smoothie account ~~FoxLover~~ that isn't banned and it's consistent with other sources eg the character, animaljam, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same "buying art with [chicken smoothie valuable goods]" scam.

    7. Other Parties Payment Email Address
    Not sure what this means

    8. Other Parties Messenger Username
    Chrysalism#9699

    9. Provide All Chat Logs and Additional Information Below
Google doc -- contains an unedited discord log, text for ease of reading and screencaps for proof. A large chunk of it is me attempting to explain why artists should be respected. All negotiation happened on Chicken Smoothie, c/p'd to this google doc and the 2nd PM log here. I can provide screencaps of my discussions with the other Chicken Smoothie users upon request but I'd need to ask their consent first. I can provide my proof of payment to offgamers.com if needed though I don't know if that'll be helpful since nothing went directly through paypal. Proof that I sent them the CS:GO item.

Additionally, Chrysalism's account has been banned on Chicken Smoothie as of this morning and their art contest scam (with many entries) has been taken over by the mods; Mod edit to their 1st post screencapped here.

I'm aware I can't get my USD back and the chances of me being paid at all on Chicken Smoothie are slim due to how many people they promised the same goods to, but like KokoSeal I hope to gods this particular disgusting behavior will no longer plague the gaming and creative communities any further. In my own case and with everyone I've inquired with who had dealings with Chrysalism, Chrysalism was consistently polite and friendly up until their scam was either failed (and they were forced to pay) or they succeeded. I'm also pretty sure they're an experienced scammer as the way they handled this art con was crafty as hell both individually to me AND how it was set up to hurt the maximum number of people.

    Please.

Seems it was censored by the site, but they did not, in fact, call me a "lil love you", lol

    EDIT to add more info:
This youtube video from 2015 by an ex-best friend(?) of Chrysalism/Shadowhowler/Kate has proof of a scamming history: Link Most of it's just dramatic venting but the screencap from 7:56 below has something interesting

Thank you so much for coming forward about your case. These types of people need to be removed, before anyone else has to go through this disgusting scenario.

Update: Chrysalism's steam is now set to private and completely reskinned. The custom URL went from ChrysalismII to squidwarddab sometime in the past ~10 hours (haven't been online, too stressed) and wow, check out this log of name changes (also note the previous community URLs section) - Source for these screencaps is steamID.eu

New custom steam URL linked here

Their discord username has also been changed to drood#9699 (screencap evidence).

Wow! Surely that isn't an attempt to hide and erase one's tracks!

(edited moments after posting because I broke some closing formatting tags on my images)

Chrysalism, exactly how long do you plan on putting on this ridiculous act? Leolore reached out to me via e-mail yesterday when they saw my dispute on Player-up.

It's not shocking to me that you've been doing this for a long time, and on various sites. You're acting like this situation is a joke, when you've scammed multiple people out of their money. You're trying to cover your tracks, and are tampering with any piece of evidence thrown at you. This has to stop, lord.

Do you have literally any proof that's my steam account? Because I don't see any. Displayed uesrnames can be changed any amount of times by users. Just a steam username does not equate to it being me. A user can easily change their steam username as many times as they want to make it look like mine.
    I also don't speak dutch.
And where is the evidence that that steam account is mine? All you have is "here's a random user who recently changed their link"

Do I need to circle the "Previous community URLs" and "SteamID" part or something?

This is exactly the behavior you framed KokoSeal for in that fake discord log on youtube. Linked here again for reference

"People always believe me if I play the victim" Yeah, not really believable even with your faked evidence when you targeted so many of us and we're all going after you at once.

    ---
Additionally, Chrysalism's steam url changed again, it's now
Steam Community :: Eine deutsche Topfpflanze
    [IMG]

For those of us overlooking important details out of desperately trying to avoid being held responsible, please look closely at the Previous Community URLs section.

Additionally, even with your steam profile set to private, your screenshots are still viewable. Note the URL of the uploader and the comment by player Chrysalismii (their original steam URL was exactly that, but the i's were capitalized).

All this and you're still trying to play the vicim? Pathetic.

Updating again. They are currently 'feck off' on discord and their pfp is art they scammed out of one of the artists I'm in contact with.

2 minutes later update as I write this post: they changed their pfp so it's not the scammed art anymore.

I'm going to keep logging and updating until this is resolved.

Chrysalism's behaviour just disgusts me beyond belief. How can anyone stack lies upon lies, and act like the victim in a situation like this? I wonder as well how Chrysalism will respond to more evidence stacked against them.

Chrysalism has scammed multiple people, and now it looks like we're all fed up with their deceitful behaviour.

How can you protect yourself from these type of scams in the future?
I strongly recommend in the future to use PlayerUp Middleman Services to protect yourself from these type of scams. Here is how it works for buyers (Buyers Guide) and here is how it works for sellers (Sellers Guide).

Is there anything we can do to assist you still with this dispute?
Please read this guide (Guide - Combat Fraud Service). All we need is the scammers full name and address and we can assist you further.

What can you do next to resolve this issue?
Since this is a PayPal transaction, you need to immediately go to PayPal and open a dispute hopefully before the seller moves those funds. In order to do that, go to your paypal receipt, and see the area where it says resolution or dispute payment. Open a dispute and provide them as much proof as possible. Contact PayPal as well and ask them what you need to do to win a dispute. Keep in constant communication with paypal. If you sent the payment by family and friends then unfortunately those funds are lost as you cannot dispute those payments and we strongly advise against sending friends and family payments in the future even if the seller requires it you can easily say no. For more information, please contact PayPal.

Can PlayerUp provide compensation for this dispute?
Since this is a non middleman transaction and PlayerUp wasn't directly involved with safeguarding your payment and guaranteeing your transaction we will unfortunately not be able to provide any compensation for you on this transaction as you dealt directly with the individual for which you're submitting a complaint against in this ticket. However if you're able to locate his full name and address, we can possibly go after him but there is no guarantee we'll be able to recover any lost funds - Guide - Combat Fraud Service

How can I protect myself in the future?
We strongly advise that you don't conduct business offsite. This is the #1 way scammers attract buyers and sellers is they lure them offsite and then bait them into anything because they have no consequences for their actions. If you did business on site, then disregard this message as the majority of scams are done offsite.
