We have several ways to go about this here

1). Melissa Barney can voluntarily resolve these issues by paying back all 4 individuals she clearly scammed. In exchange, we will remove all disputes against her and delete this dispute. We will act as if nothing happened if she is willingly ready to resolve these disputes.

2). We have had a member mention the possibility of him or someone filing a local police report with the Fairfield CT Police Department which is reportedly the closest police district to her location.

3). Another option is we could point the victims in the right direction about working together to file a small claims court case against her either locally in her county or you could try doing it in your county and worry about proper jurisdiction later. The cost to do this is fairly inexpensive and we can guide you how to do this. You won't need an attorney, just need to fill out some forms and appear in court likely one time to obtain your judgment. Once you receive your judgment, we'll explain the steps to collect it.

4). On our end, we will go about pursuing this matter through a debt collection agency. We intend to fine Melissa Barney $1,000 (goes to victims) which is the maximum penalty she can receive from us in addition to the total amount she scammed her victims and the collection agency fee. The total amount as of now is $4,045.95 with all fees applied. She will have 180 days to pay this off once in collections before it turns to a charge off. If you are not based in the US, then you may not know what a collection agency is. Basically everything in the USA from employment, loans, insurance and so on is done through a reporting/ssn system. Collection agencies negatively harm your name/report and can completely ruin your life financially if not taken care of.

5). We could contact her family members and friends and basically inform them of her doings. Here are some of them:

these users need to file an ic3 on her as well... It's a internet fraud thing. Also depending on how you paid you can contact I'm guessing PayPal and let them know that you will be contacting authorities. Supposedly her Facebook said she lived in Fairfield now. But a family member told me she supposedly is living in New York now. I don't know how accurate this is if she picked up money from ct western union with a ct address. You can find it if u sent western union

Hi, I am looking to talk to you about a girl who got banned way back in 2016. Now it seemed like a cut and dry case of fraud at the time but I honestly believe this is not the case. Its a rather long story and after talking to the girl accused of scamming and doing some digging myself everything she told me added up. She runs a business on Instagram and this thread has been ruining her career. People accuse her business and moral because of this thread. If at all possible I would really appreciate a reply from you. I am not asking that you unban the account just that you delete the thread off the forums so it will stop haunting her and destroying her life and career. If you would be kind enough to get back to me I would be happy to tell you about the rest of the story and why I believe she is innocent.


I know this seems like a cut and dry case but all I ask is you give me your time to present some facts about this that were unknown at the time of this post. Please get back to me...

So I mentioned that I've found new evidence about this case and talking to the girl myself I did some digging and I honestly and truly believe this is a case of identity theft by her boyfriend at the time. I will post screenshots of the chat I had with her as well as link the news reports that confirm her story. So it all started when i found her on instagram and was interested in buying her products. However, I wanted to do my own research which is where I first found this thread. I went to confront her about it and the screenshots are posted below which is when I heard this story. Now I was skeptical upon first seeing this but I decided to dig a little deeper. After about 30 minutes I came across some news articles about the abuse mentioned in the screenshots. The link to that article is posted here. Now those news articles don't make her innocent but things kept adding up. She mentioned that her ex abusive boyfriend also committed suicide in prison. I decided to look into that a bit more and found this post linked here. Now the first thing I noticed was that no where on any of the sites mentioning his death did it mention his cause of death. Typically when someone takes there own life it is left out on purpose from any obituaries to make it easier on family and friends. On that same site it also mentions however that he was an accountant but more importantly it says, "he graduated from Andrew Warde High School and successfully worked as a game trader, buying and selling "Bots" online." Now this caught my eye and got me thinking. Bots are commonly used in scamming and acts of Fraud which supports Lissy's claims. Now another important thing to look at is the boyfriends crime history. Upon further inspection I found more evidence. Now after all this and talking to Lissy I Truly do believe her and she did not ask me to do this... I am doing this out of my own free will. I believe she is innocent and just trying to change and forget about the terrible life she once lived. Lissy is a lot happier now and a much better person... I do not ask you to unban the account... I just ask that you delete this thread and help this girl, who has proven to me she can be trusted, to fix her record and move on...
