My friend recently bought a macbook from somebody of playerup.com since he got it at a really good price. However when he checked it, the laptop is locked with a firmware password. He tried the "command + R" method but that led to a screen with a lock requiring a password. Is there anyway he can reset the mac without taking it to apple as he does not have the original proof of purchase? If somebody can help me with this, my friend is willing to pay 50$ compensation.
