    I rarely ever am in need of some guidance in regards to refunding anymore, especially for a store such as this one, but recently this online market has seemed to change up their system. 2 times now I have been “connected to the Concerned Team”. This was the first time I had ever encountered this but it happened 2 refunds in a row on varying orders/accounts so I thought it was the new usual. Both times I was met with the notice that an investigation would be conducted. I contacted back support and was able to have the investigation marked as successfully completed before it even began in the 1 case, but the other I let play through. The support team then responded back to me, via email, a few days later with this message: “We’re sorry to hear that you haven’t received your item(s) from order #XXX-XXXXXX-XXXXXX. It appears that this package was delivered by Am**** Logis****. Based on the results of our investigation, we won’t be able to provide a refund for this order at this time. We advise contacting Am**** Logis**** as well as your local authorities to further pursue this matter.

    If the issue isn't resolved after contacting local law enforcement and the carrier, please contact us with the police report number and the name of the police department where the report was filed. Without the police report, we're unable to take further action.” This immediately caused me to feel a bit uneasy, being as this is the first time I have ever ‘failed’ a refund up to the police involvement stage, and on a site that is normally a 15 minute job to complete. Wondering what you all may think I should do to fix this. Should I just go ahead and file the police report or let it go? Additional details: This was a $100-$120 item, the package did not need to be signed for, the item was left on the doorstep and promptly taken inside, and I recently completed a refund that involved a company filing a police report for a missing $700 item, about 2 weeks ago.
