Under Investigation Took Account And Never Returned After Request To Cancel Transaction

    I had originally contacted FinesseKing after seeing his thread. I contacted him on Kik, and it seemed like things were going to be a good deal. $120 via Paypal for my two Wizard101 accounts. I will treat them as the same account, because a master password links the two together. When he was trying out the accounts to make sure they had the proper Wizards, he noticed that one account was blank. This was my fault, but I took an immediate stance to resolve this.

    Had being scammed on this account earlier this week, the scammer must've deleted the Wizards on this account in spite. I never checked to see if this had been done or not, so I too was surprised to find one of the accounts to be blank. The company that manages Wizard101, however, is really nice at restoring characters that are deleted. I prompted for FinesseKing to e-mail Kingsisle since he now changed the account e-mail to his. I even wrote it for him. Writing a short message like this easily gets a character restored.

    However, it seems as though this e-mail was never sent out by him. As seen in the screenshots below, he then asked me to send the e-mail. Sure, that would be well said and done, however when he gave me some of the new login information for the account, it did not work. When I told him this, the last thing I have heard from FinesseKing was, "Hold On", sent several days ago. At this point, I knew it was too late to recover the character and just wanted the accounts back to accept my loses and move on. I have not had a single reply since.

    I want my accounts back and nothing else, it's perfectly fine that one has lost it's value, I just want to accept my loses with that and move on as I said. It would've been so easy to recover the main character of one of the accounts, but either chose not to, or did and has been ignoring me since. Below are screenshots, and will probably suffice much better than what I've typed.

    A last huge thing I would like to point out is that the day after I gave him the account originally, he made this thread.

    How can you protect yourself from these type of scams in the future?

    What can you do next to resolve this issue?
    Since this is a PayPal transaction, you need to immediately go to PayPal and open a dispute hopefully before the seller moves those funds. In order to do that, go to your paypal receipt, and see the area where it says resolution or dispute payment. Open a dispute and provide them as much proof as possible. Contact PayPal as well and ask them what you need to do to win a dispute. Keep in constant communication with paypal. If you sent the payment by family and friends then unfortunately those funds are lost as you cannot dispute those payments and we strongly advise against sending friends and family payments in the future even if the seller requires it you can easily say no.     How can I protect myself in the future?
    We strongly advise that you don't conduct business offsite. This is the #1 way scammers attract buyers and sellers is they lure them offsite and then bait them into anything because they have no consequences for their actions. If you did business on site, then disregard this message as the majority of scams are done offsite.
