What happens if I sell my account through PlayerUp/MiddleMan, the buyer takes possession of the account, and absolutely destroys the account (i.e. dismisses troops, or suicides troops, etc.)?

Can they(the buyer) request funds to be returned and say the account "isn't as described"?

I don't know if playerup allows that.
but as a seller i would never take back a account which is sold once.until it got some ownership problem.

Buyer purchase a product only after looking at everything provided in the screenshot.so there is no reason to return it back.
i never faced any situation like that and i don't think playerup also allows that.

until you both agree to return back base and take back money.
