This player, Nem, said that he never received the money. When I called PayPal, they verified that it was received at the email he originally gave me. He tried to then tell me that he mistyped the email address and hadn't received it but PayPal again confirmed that the "corrected" email was not even a PayPal account. The agent then told me that this was suspicious and that I should contact my bank to stop the payment. I did as PayPal suggested, in the meantime, i watched the guy continue to grow the account in might. I never received what I had paid for, so PayPal was able to refund my money. Later that evening, my PayPal account had multiple failed login attempts from the same country that the money was sent to.
$4500 and no middleman support, yikes man. How can you protect yourself from these type of scams in the future? I'm looking at the logs and it looks like @Nem is a scammer but I will give him a full opportunity to explain himself here (marked high risk until then).
I'm glad you got your money back but why didn't you use middleman? You caught a major break here. Awaiting the sellers reply.
It has all been resolved via PayPal and my bank. I did not know he had a playerup ad until I saw it pop up yesterday (all after the fact). Basically, I just wanted you to be aware that he is advertising here. If I choose to go ahead and buy an account, it will definitely be through Middleman.
The only reason I didn't use Middleman was that I didn't know this account was being sold here at the time.
This was no scam, money was received to buy the account but there were a lot of problems with my family and it wasn't rushed through, buyer said she recalled the money just as I was going to give my details over to her. In my eyes I nearly didn't get the money and could have lost my account. This is very unfair and is defamation of character and I will take this further, I too have screen shots and am screen shooting the whole of this too.
Oh! So the money was received. Why did you tell me repeatedly that it was not received and that I had sent it to the wrong email address that you gave me??
