(This post has been approved by a mod via modmail) Hello everyone, I'm currently writing my Thesis on "The Shadow Economy of Digital Trade: Trade Analysis of In-Game Items on Third-Party Trading Websites". I myself am an active CS2 Player with a total of around 1500 hours. The goal is to gain an in-depth understanding of the preferences and behaviors of the CS2 community regarding the purchase, sale, and exchange of skins and other items. The survey primarily compares the Steam Community Market with third-party marketplaces, exploring players' perceptions of fees, security, and user-friendliness, as well as the economic impacts of trading on their gaming experience. Additionally, it examines how these trading activities influence overall game motivation. To achieve this goal I am conducting a survey directed at Counter-Strike 2 players and it focuses on the trade of in-game items in Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) and the associated economic perspectives of the players. It is a Google Forms Survey and it takes less than 5 minutes to complete. It is anonymous and anyone can answer, no matter how many skins, how many hours or your skill level.
