    1. Surrendering an email

It means giving the other party the email so it'd be fully theirs, usually emails are surrendered when the "too many requests" issue occurs.

    2. Surrendering a google account

Before you surrender a google account, make sure you remove/disable 2FA, recovery email, recovery phone number, addresses, contacts and credit or debit cards before you surrender the email to the other party.

When a google account is surrendered to you and that account previously had a recovery phone number / email and the old owner removed either or both before surrendering the account to you, it will take a week for the account to "get used to" your phone number / email, so when you attempt to change the password or link a recovery phone number / email google will ask for a code that's sent to the old phone number / email, it will use your phone number once a week has passed [ source ].

    3. Pilots & their fees

    - A pilot is a person you hire to do certain tasks you assign them to do on your account, such as doing commissions and burning the resin for a certain amount of days [ also called account maintenance ] or doing certain quests you ask them to do.

    - Make sure you background check the pilot you're letting into your account. [ More information on how to keep yourself safe can be found in another guide here.]

    - Pilots may do certain tasks for free or for a fee, do not exploit pilots and ask them to do an outrageous amount of work for free or little fee.

    - Fees for pilots differ, it depends on the task/request, the pilot's currency, the payment method you're offering and how much the pilot thinks is fair overall, so there isn't a set price. You can always ask a pilot for their price sheet or how much they'd charge for whatever you need done. Pilots usually accept accounts as a fee as well.

    4. Middlemen & their fees

    - A middleman is a 3rd party in a transaction that ensures the transaction happens safely and smoothly, the process of the transaction with a middleman can be found here.

    - Make sure you background check the middleman you're letting into your account. [ More information on how to keep yourself safe can be found in another guide here.]

    - Middlemen may help with transactions for free or for a fee

    - Fees for middlemen differ, it depends on the type of transaction [ trade - sale ], how many accounts are involved and the size/s of the account/s involved, the middleman's currency, the payment method you're offering and how much the middleman thinks is fair overall, so there isn't a set price. You can always ask a middleman for their price sheet or how much they'd charge for the transaction you need them for. Middlemen usually accept accounts as a fee as well.

    5. Vouch [ Often called a "self-vouch" or "proof"]

A vouch/proof is something a trader or client posts for another trader, middleman or pilot. It's either text or text & screenshots of the trade or service being done as well as feedback, it indicates that the transaction went smoothly or the service was completed, on certain subreddits or servers there are vouching requirements, make sure you take a look at it before vouching for someone.

    6. Dummy emails

A dummy email is an email, usually created temporarily, used by traders and middlemen, it means the email is not used for school, work or personal usage and can be surrendered or the email was created simply for the transaction, like an alt / alternative account.

    7. Trust trade / sale

A trust trade or sale is a transaction where there's only two parties, without the involvement of a middleman, more information can be found in number 8.

    8. " You go first " or " You go second "

" You go first " in a transaction means to provide the other party with payment first [ if it's a sale ] or log in information for the account [ if it's a trade ] before they give you the account they're giving you or before they give you payment and vice versa. More information on how trust trades go can be found here.

    9. Third party accounts & How to unlink them

A third party account [ like Facebook, Twitter, Google, Apple, Game Center and PSN ] is an account you link to your genshin account, where you can log into the genshin account using that third party account, without using an email or a password.

To unlink a third party account :

    A) On the hoyoverse account website [ NOTE : You can only unlink Facebook, Twitter and PSN through the website ]

    1. Go to the hoyoverse account website
    2. Log in
    3. Click on account security settings and scroll down a little
    4. Click unlink next to the account you’d like unlinked
    5. You’ll be redirected to the site of whatever 3rd party account you need unlinked but the final process is easy as long as you read everything

Remember, you must have access to or you must be logged into the 3rd party account you're trying to unlink

    B) In game

    1. Log into the game
    2. Go to the paimon menu [ click esc / click on the paimon icon on the top left ]
    3. Go to settings [click on the gear icon]
    4. Go to the account tab
    5. Click on “tap to proceed” next to user center
    6. Scroll a little down then click on “Linked Accounts”
    7. Click unlink next to the account you’d like unlinked
    8. You’ll be redirected to the site or app of whatever 3rd party account you need unlinked but the final process is easy as long as you read everything

Remember, google accounts can only be unlinked on an android in game. Apple and game center accounts can only be unlinked on an iPhone/iPad in game.

    10. Starter account

A starter account is typically a low AR account with little to few five star characters, usually the account is dedicated to only one or two characters and they often have high constellations. These accounts sometimes have # abyss.

    11. Reroll

A reroll is an account that has a huge amount of primogems and wishes, most of the time it has # abyss.

    12. How to retrieve your account after getting #/scammed

If you have enough receipts of purchases made on the account that was stolen, you should be able to retrieve it by contacting hoyoverse through their customer service email.

NEVER MENTION ANYTHING ABOUT TRADING OR SELLING AS IT IS AGAINST HOYOVERSE’S TERMS OF SERVICE.

r/GenshinHacked has a great guide on their subreddit on what to do in case you want to retrieve your account - we urge you to check it in case this is your situation.

    Common issues in accounts

    1) Deadlink/s

A deadlink is a 3rd party account [ like Facebook, Twitter, Google, Apple, Game Center & PSN ] thats linked to a genshin account but can’t be unlinked. Usually because the owner of said 3rd party account lost access to it or it was suspended/banned or deleted.

Note that if an account has deadlinks, it may significantly decrease its value.

    2) # abyss

Sites that are dedicated to selling "starter" accounts or "rerolls" mass produce accounts using hacks and/or bots as a quick and easy way to get primogems and wishes, the abyss is always done using hacks and they only use the starter team [ sometimes the traveler and kaeya, or traveler, kaeya, lisa and amber ]

" How do I know if the abyss on my account is #?"

It's simple, it can be checked by teleporting to Musk Reef, entering Spiral Abyss and accessing "Challenge Summary" on the top right corner, if the first run was completed by the starter team [which is usually underleveled, it depends if the account was bought then resold or traded after its initial purchase] and it's usually 27 star'd.

It's nothing to worry much about, people constantly say you could get banned for it but there's no evidence proving so. Note that if an account has # abyss, it may significantly decrease its value.

    3) Trashed account

A trashed account is an account that has little to artifacts or five star weapons, usually due to the fact that the account was previously # or trashed by a scammer who got access to it.

Note that if an account is trashed, it may significantly decrease its value.

    4) Maintenance

An account's maintenance refers to the state of exploration done [ low - high ], how many quests are completed, how many hangouts are completed and how good/bad the artifacts are.

An account with good artifacts and high exploration is considered a well-maintained account.

An account with decent artifacts, decent/high exploration is considered a decently maintained account.

An account with bad artifacts, bad/low exploration is considered a badly maintained account.

You may judge the state of the artifacts on your account by uploading your builds on enka network[/URL] and checking the crit values on akasha cv, the higher the crit value, the better the artifact is.

Note that if an account is badly maintained, it may significantly decrease its value. If an account is very well maintained, it may significantly increase its value.
