    What is a pilot?

A pilot is someone who does work on someone’s account per their request. This job can come in various forms, from simple tasks like logging in and claiming rewards or commissions, to harder tasks, like character building and exploration. Piloting can be done for free or for a fee, depending on who you request to be your pilot and the task you requested to see fulfilled.

By no means should a pilot ever trash your account or do anything other than what was requested - if you ever find one doing so, know that the pilot can be reported.

Make sure your pilot is legit

ALWAYS background check your Pilot - before letting someone who deems themselves a pilot, make sure to ask for their vouches. You can ask them directly for them or see if they’re somewhere on their profile; even if they do seem legit, do an extra check on them by going to their profile and seeing if the way they act/talk is suspicious.

The supposed pilot seems suspicious to you? It’s probably cause they are, trust your gut - back down and find another, more trustable pilot.

Where can I find a trusted pilot?

There are plenty of trusted pilots out there, either on Reddit or Discord - never settle for one that seems to have some sort of hidden agenda.

On Reddit: Check the pinned post on r/tradingenshin[/URL] with Trusted Pilots listed or the wiki on r/GenshinTrades.

On Discord: By requesting a pilot from a trusted discord server such as playerup.com/anemo
    or playerup.com/knave.

    ALWAYS ask for screenshots

If your pilot is legit, they won’t do anything other than the requested task; however, if you’re still afraid something might go wrong, ASK FOR SCREENSHOTS UPON EACH PILOTING SESSION, BEFORE AND AFTER. These screenshots can range from your whole inventory, to your wish page and even the account user center - just ask for what you think is needed to put your mind at ease.

Additionally, do the following BEFORE the pilot enters your account and AFTER they finish the request :

Screenshot your inventory, items that can be deleted like weapons, artifacts, enemy/boss drops or materials, etc.. in case the pilot is a scammer and deleted one of the mentioned items

Screenshot the user center in case the pilot is a scammer and linked a 3rd party link of theirs on your account.

Screenshot the shop in case the pilot is a scammer and bought anything without your consent.

    Time windows

DON’T RUSH YOUR PILOT. Before agreeing on getting the piloting, both parties should agree on a time limit for the task to be fulfilled. Rushing your pilot won’t make your task be completed sooner - it’ll just make for tension to build up and you pilot to get stressed. The pilot is trying to help you - don’t be that person.

Always make sure to be patient and kind with your pilot. They’re humans just like you, who also have lives outside of Genshin.
