I recently saw someone post their PayPal balance claiming they were willing to spend it all on a fortnite account here. No one in their right mind would be willing to spend 1k in a subreddit with no scam protection or reputation system. Not only is there no karma on his account, but why would you go on flexing your money to lure people to you? Classic excuse to not go first: “you saw how much money I have” “it’s nothing to me”. It put me into the mood to rant about the state of this subreddit (with around 100 daily users and 11,000 members) and the amount of scam victims I see daily falling for stuff as obvious as that. It’s sad how this subreddit is entirely made up of low quality bait posts to prey on kids or whoever is gullible enough. I see these 0 karma accounts on every post and I’m starting to wonder if it’s just the same few people on alts. There is no realistic way to make a safe & proper trade without a middleman unless the person is seriously vouched for which I’ve never seen here. I know what it’s like to be scammed and I’m just looking out for everyone else and encouraging you to think more about where you put your money and to make more educated decisions. I believe there should be a pinned post of known scammers or something similar, and a minimum karma limit to make posts on here. This is getting out of hand and this entire subreddit is turning into a joke. I’m hoping the mods see this and can try to make some positive changes in order to help this subreddit become a safer place to buy and sell. # #/Asdfghhqwel . .
