    1. Place your order on Wayfair
    2. Once your table arrives, take pictures of the table that you are going to say are damaged. Crappy pictures will be easier to photoshop the damage to. Also, if there is no damage to the box the table came in, put scratches and holes in the box to make it appear as though the box was roughed up during shipping. Make sure to take multiple pictures, they will usually want more than 1 of the affected area.
    3. Contact their support. Go to your account and on the order select help to open a chat.
    4. Tell their support that your table arrived damaged.
    5. They will ask for proof of the damage to the item. They will give you their email address and request you email them the pictures of proof.
    6. Send the pictures of the damage as well as the damaged box to help your case.
    7. They will offer a replacement, but you can request a refund as well. If you are going to ask for a refund rather than a replacment, make sure you have a since of urgency in the reason that you want a refund. I told them I was using the table for model house that I had clients coming to view soon and I would need to go to a local store to purchase a table in time. Be creative
    8. You should receive email confirmation after the chat confirming your refund or replacement.

This method works because the amount of money it cost for them to ship the item to you and then have it returned would require them to take a big loss for a defective table. They will not ask you to return the table and if by chance they do, say that it was thrown away due to how damaged it was when it arrived.

I hope this helps some of you get some free furniture :)
(In the proof I chose to get a replacement)
