I hope you know that the person you did business with has no relationship with our company by now. Basically a scammer created an username called @MM21 and tried to portray himself as PlayerUp. We have been having an increased number of issues like this. We will be adding new security systems soon.

Do you use K,I,K, Skype, or another messenger service?
No. All middleman transactions are done through PlayerUp.com for security reasons. Anyone who attempts to contact you through a 3rd party messenger claiming they are us is fraudulent.

When should I release my account information to the buyer?
Never release your account information unless (@Middleman) contacts you through the PlayerUp Conversation Ticket System. We will never contact you through e-mail, K,I,K, skype, or any 3rd party service. All middleman transactions are done through PlayerUp.com for security reasons.

@Admin read your inbox, it's pretty important.

 

Yes this "scam" you reported has been tried before. The website is blacklisted here. We redirect the links back to playerup. It also is AUTOMATICALLY reported when someone enters that keyword. I see the posts he made. He is perma banned. Kudos to you!

 

We'll have a big update on PlayerUp next release on security issues. Several changes we're making. One custom change we have to make and the dev team here will work on this Tuesday or Wednesday. Also the security mod that locks people down has been tweaked a bit and will be tweaked some more this week so they really remain locked down and can't do anything.

 

Just to confirm, the person in this thread isn't related to the repeat scammer that has been scamming World of Tanks Accounts recently. Completely different person.
