    DAOC Accounts: Harassment Policies Harassment Policy ================= In Dark Age of Camelot, our goal is always to develop a strong group and/or community that provides a comfortable atmosphere for all of our daoc account gamers. What this means is since players have the capability to combat anti-social behavior. Some tools created to make this happen purpose range from the "Ignore Player" option and also the obscenity filter. The "Ignore Player" (/Ignore) option permanently blocks most of an offending player's comments, and you may also decide to block certain offensive words from the DAoC Obscenity Filter. What's NOT harassment? First we ought to explain that anything considered a legitimate play style in DAoC isn't considered harassment. Quite simply, gamer killing of one's realm's enemies, such as gravestone camping, isn't considered harassment. By valid, we mean that we now have game mechanics created around these play styles in DAoC. Because DAoC is often a RvR (PvP) game, gamers should seek methods for protecting themselves against these play styles through game mechanics instead of contacting support staff for aid in these cases. The key to determining whether the mechanic is being misused or abused is to determine "intent". What was the person trying to achieve through their actions? Were they purposefully trying to disrupt someone else's game? While an action may cause others distress, it is not considered harassment until it is determined...
