its because the only 2 preferred payment method for me paypal : cause its my personal account and for that i only accept payments as family and friends -its not a business account- and its the only way to prevent a dispute from the buyer incase he wanted to scam me. crypto : lower fees than paypal -believe it or not- , better cause it assure to the buyer that their funds actually arrived by the txid which cant be faked or any sort of fraud.
You've just listed the pros and cons for using the methods but ur missing the fact its usually the seller that does these scams and paying by family and friends means you arent protected
