A friend and I are running a small PC repair business and he has a coupon that allows him to get $150 worth of adwords if he spends $50. Money is rather tight at the moment and I was wondering if adwords is worth it. If anyone knows from experience, please respond A.S.A.P. as the coupon expires Monday. Thanks!

Bump. If you know anything about this, please let me know!

    Alright, here's my two cents:

We talk about Google and one of their services. Usually you're good to go with services they provide so we apply this thought to Adwords for the following thoughts.

Back the days I spent a few bucks on this services to advertise my dropbox (to gain more space). $5 were spent and I received space worth at least $25, if not more. 1 day after I purchased Adwords I already noticed people clicking my ad and many also registered (which was my aim).

So one can say Google did a good job in providing my ad to those who really were interested. This of course does only work with those who allow Google to collect information on their behavior on the internet.

I would say if you 'only' have to spend $50 and gain a service worth another $150 you definitely should go for it.

Take Google's reputation into consideration and the possibility of what you might earn from it.

Let's say there's 100 people per day (very low number imo) that see your ad and 'only' 1% of those actually go for your service - How much money would you gain?

    Questions you might ask yourself:

    - How much customers do you need to get at least $50 (and thus got the money you spend in your pocket again).

    - How much does Google 'charge' for XY views per ad of you?

    - Say there really is only 1% that actually is interested in your ad - Is that enough to get you enough money to make the first two points work?

    TL;DR: Go for it.

Not sure if it could be said better. I appreciate the response and we just signed up with Adwords Hopefully we can get more business seeing as it's only the two of us. Thanks Tracky!
