Scammed by this Seller

    Total Amount: $200 USD

    They took my money, $200 usd and have completely ghosted me on discord. Please ban this scammer loser so he doesn't take advantage of other people looking to buy the account. I have the full discord messages for the entire conversation we had for exact details of what occured. I should have known things were fishy when he refunded the initial payment and told me to send it to a different email afterwards. I sent the money again to a different email once I got the refund confirmation for the other transaction, he then told me since there was a 48 hour hold on the money to wait a day and he'd send me the account information. I thought it was a little fishy but wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt because I really wanted the account. A day later he told me there was some sort of emergency and he'd get in touch with me later during the day. It has been more than 24 hours with zero contact. It was my fault for trusting this loser and should have done a middleman or G&S transaction. I'm in the process of contacting my credit card company as paypal cannot help me with a F&F transaction. This dude is a sneaky scammer, BEWARE.

    How can you protect yourself from these type of scams in the future?

    What can you do next to resolve this issue?

    Since this is a PayPal transaction, you need to immediately go to PayPal and open a dispute hopefully before the seller moves those funds. In order to do that, go to your paypal receipt, and see the area where it says resolution or dispute payment. Open a dispute and provide them as much proof as possible. Contact PayPal as well and ask them what you need to do to win a dispute. Keep in constant communication with paypal. If you sent the payment by family and friends then unfortunately those funds are lost as you cannot dispute those payments and we strongly advise against sending friends and family payments in the future even if the seller requires it you can easily say no.     How can I protect myself in the future?

    We strongly advise that you don't conduct business offsite. This is the #1 way scammers attract buyers and sellers is they lure them offsite and then bait them into anything because they have no consequences for their actions. If you did business on site, then disregard this message as the majority of scams are done offsite.
