This special edition PSP was released on September 13th 2007 in Japan. It came in a special shoe box bundled with a retail copy of the game which had a foil cover, the PSP-2000 (slim) unit covered in Tetsuya Nomura artwork, and a Buster Sword strap.

The PlayStation Portable is region free, meaning the console can play any games from around the world, but it cannot play UMD movies from the USA. The version of Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII- bundled with it is a Japanese language version that allows no options to switch to English (Edit: This system does allow the language to be changed). The bundle was produced in limited quantities of 77,777 copies and retailed for 25,890 yen. Each individual special edition PlayStation Portable is engraved with a serial number from 00001 to 77,777.

A re-release of the PSP was made in Europe, but it did not have the unique serial number, and the silver color was less metallic.

As of 12/10/2020 the PSP is completely functional. Custom firmware has already been installed on the console.

Edit: There is a very light scratch on the top right part of the screen of about 1 cm that is only noticeable when light is shined at the powered down screen. It is not noticeable when the screen is powered on. No dead pixels are present. There are three tiny cracks located in the bottom right corner of the screen (not on the screen) just below the home button (the last button on the center bottom right) and in the left right corner of the screen (again not on the screen). There are light scratches on the back from every day use however none of the painted finish has peeled off or has been damaged. The battery works. Last time used continuously was in 2019 however I recon my mileage was between 4-6 hours of battery life.

The PSP comes with a 8gb SanDisk Memory Stick PRO Duo, a micro SD to MS PRO Duo Adapter, a 32 GB micro SD, Power charger and USB to micro usb and power connection.

Accessories included are a Score PSP soft case and a Playstation Portable Hard Plastic Case.
