Resolved Edward Reyes - Middleman

    Somebody under your logo where scammed me as a middleman. I made my ask for a mm on your website officially, and then came this Edward Reyes as a middlemen of yours, with your logo. They took my base , now i have no gamecenter access to it. I had to report it to the FBI, if you want to i can attach it , but i do not understand how come, never came anybody from your side as a middleman, while i was asking it officially on your homepage. It looks like somebody from playerup is involved in this scamming!

    Edward Reyes isn't affiliated with our company. Just because someone uses our "logo" doesn't mean he works for us. If someone contacts you with the Apple logo and says they work for Apple and will upgrade your devices for free once you hand over your iPhone, do you do it? No. Same process applies here. You should always contact the actual PlayerUp support before releasing account information to whomever you did through whichever platform.

    How does middleman work?
    1). Sellers create and post middleman buy now listings (click here)
    2). Buyer clicks on buy now listing and completes payment
    3). We verify and secure the buyers payment
    4). We create a 3 way conversation ticket with the Buyer and Seller
    5). We inform the Seller which specific account information they need to release to the Buyer
    6). During this process, we will communicate and guide both the Buyer and Seller.
    7). Buyer secures and verifies the account
    8). Payment is then disbursed to the Seller

    When should I release my account information to the buyer?
    Never release your account information unless (@Middleman) contacts you through the PlayerUp Conversation Ticket System. We will never contact you through e-mail, PlayerUp, skype, or any 3rd party service. All middleman transactions are done through PlayerUp.com for security reasons.

    Do you use PlayerUp, Skype, or another messenger service?
    No. All middleman transactions are done through PlayerUp.com for security reasons. Anyone who attempts to contact you through a 3rd party messenger claiming they are us is fraudulent.

    Just for you to know, i was asking a mm through your website as it had to be done. Nobody came till now...

    Why you do not make your service more correct, not to get into a situation like that? Why a middleman is not giving alert if he doesn't find the applying costumer?

    I understand your frustrations at being scammed but there is no reason to blame us as if it's our fault. We have no control over your actions and what you do with your account. We didn't conduct any communications with you nor did we do anything to initiate the problems you're experiencing. Over the last couple messages you have sent us especially the private messages, the direction of your messages have been aggressive attacking us as if we did this or as if it's our fault. While we're sorry to hear you're experiencing issues, you can either follow the site directions, open a dispute in the Disputes Section providing us the information we need to assist you, or we will close all communications on this issue as we're not going to go back and forth being blamed for something we have no involvement in.

    A random person which appears based on the thread here e-mails or messages you and you automatically assume it's us. Which professional company would ever use [email protected] as their e-mail? Our e-mail is [email protected] and we will never communicate with you through e-mail asking for account information. It's noted all over the website that we'll only conduct communications through our PlayerUp Conversation Ticket System to avoid any conflicting issues like this.

    Everything is outlined on PlayerUp in multiple sections. Outside of a giant popup saying WARNING, there is little else we can do to protect those who choose not to read the Security Guides - Avoid Getting Scammed and Sellers and Buyers Guides placed all over the site.

    This is no different from say you using PayPal, sending payment to the wrong e-mail and then blaming PayPal as if it's their fault. You control your own actions and if you choose not to read what is displayed on the site, then you run yourself the risk of being exploited.

    Yes of course always a costumer is fault if something happenes. Therefor i reported the issue to the FBI , to be a low risk member of playerup.

    They have a department for internet crimes, so i hope they will investigate it.
