Warning: [email protected] - Fraud Scam

    A while ago, i tried selling my account on the website for around 600-800 however i made the middleman link and he said he added the account to the cart and a middle man admin/moderator will shortly send me a notice that they will talk to me about it. Soon after a while a person email'd "[email protected]" i asked him to send me a screenshot on if he was a legit moderator on playerup/middleman. so he sent me a screenshot.[​IMG]

    After that i started having some faith that middleman was actually really hosting the trade. I sent him all my information email/password in a neatly direct way, the moderator told me that the payment will come in after a couple days and everything will be fine. i tried asking a admin/moderator at the time but he sent me the screenshot so after a day after a moderator wrote on my link that the email was fake and my money would never come in :( He told me that he's quitting.
    His name is supposed to be "Tyler Lambert" at middleman

    Do you use PlayerUp, Skype, or another messenger service?
    No. All middleman transactions are done through PlayerUp.com for security reasons. Anyone who attempts to contact you through a 3rd party messenger claiming they are us is fraudulent.

    How does it work?
    1). Sellers create and post middleman buy now listings (click here)
    2). Buyer clicks on buy now listing and completes payment
    3). We verify and secure the buyers payment
    4). We create a 3 way conversation ticket with the Buyer and Seller
    5). We inform the Seller which specific account information they need to release to the Buyer
    6). During this process, we will communicate and guide both the Buyer and Seller.
    7). Buyer secures and verifies the account
    8). Payment is then disbursed to the Seller

    When should I release my account information to the buyer?
    Never release your account information unless (@Middleman) contacts you through the PlayerUp Conversation Ticket System. We will never contact you through e-mail, PlayerUp, skype, or any 3rd party service. All middleman transactions are done through PlayerUp.com for security reasons.

    I renamed your site thread title because it's misleading. There is only one middleman agent here and that is the account I'm replying with you now @Middleman.

    Just to be clear here:

    1). No communication from you was ever done with @Middleman. We received no PMs from you until today.
    2). No private or 3 way conversation ticket was opened.
    3). The image you posted above I assume this [email protected] sent it to you and if he did then he photoshopped it.
    4). Tyler Lambert could easily be a fake name.

    In short yes you did get scammed but an unknown party that has no ties or connections with PlayerUp.

    You should never tell someone to take a screenshot proving they are a middleman. You should have asked him to actually send a PM to you with the @Middleman account. That's where he found a way to exploit you. At this point, it's unclear if you lost an account or he took money from you. I assume he took your account. If so, @Admin can assist you from here at getting back what you lost.

    There is nothing I can do myself as I wasn't involved with your transaction and I can't find anyone using the username [email protected].

    Do you have the scammers playerup username?
