Exploiting Buyer paid through PlayerUP MiddleMan, and disputed payment after receiving account

    All information is in the private 3 way ticket created, and I can send all of the screenshots if needed. I am creating this thread in hopes of answers. Why wouldn't PlayerUP ask for payment through Friends and Family? What is the difference between this site and others, if sellers can just chargeback like theifs?

    We're already working on this. Giving the buyer 24 hours to amend this fairly and then we have "alternative" ways to resolve this if he doesn't. Right now as a seller you don't need to do anything unless you want to recall the account you just need to wait.

    Legal has already responded to the dispute as well.

    @Middleman, so I will get the money OR the account back right? Is it possible for you guys to resolve this with PayPal directly, and show them the proof? I would have disputed the claim, but I can't even defend myself, since they sent payment to you.

    Legal has already sent documentation to PayPal. Keep in mind we have a dedicated account manager so it's extremely rare for an user to win a paypal dispute if you legitimately delivered. Just give your buyer 24 hours. As of now nothing to be worried about. Could be a mistake on the buyers behalf.

    Not much more we can do right now. Like you we're waiting. Just be patient and keep checking your messages for updates. Sorry you had to deal with this but you'll have to be patient.

    Yeah thanks for the reassurance. I highly doubt it was a mistake from the buyer since he has blocked me from all communication on discord after he recieved the account. I did legitimately deliver everything on the account, and he even confirmed it. If he doesnt like what he got, then he can send me my account back and get his money back. I just dont want PayPal to refund him the money AND he gets to keep the account.

    You should attempt to recall the account now. Contact the game publishers and inform them someone has compromised your account. Don't mention you sold it.

    If they refuse to help, I'd report that you SOLD the account on PlayerUp and get it banned if and only if the buyer refuses to resolve this fairly. You'd still get paid but the buyer wouldn't get away with fraud.

    No harm in trying to recall the account now. Bonus for you because if you recall the account we may even give you the option to resell it and still get paid. Bonus for you.

    ALso, I just had a question. Is it possible for me to see what's going on in the dispute? Like the messages being sent etc. Because I might be able to contribute screenshots between the buyer and me, which could help decide the outcome

    How long do you think I'll have to wait to get this all resolved? The buyer is obviously trying to scam. I've seen him viewing this thread, so he knows about this.

    @Middleman It's been 30 hours + since the buyer disputed, and I still don't know what's going on. I'm sorry for being impatient, but $100 is a lot of money, and I would be in a great deficit if I don't receive payment.

    Can an admin send me @FAL7EN real name from his ID that he had to submit. You guys know the legal details. Can you send that to me? I'll hunt him down myself. Just PM it to me.

    @Middleman @Hulk Am I covered under the Middleman seller guide?

    1). Chargeback Protection. All chargebacks are covered and payments are 100% guaranteed

    Does this mean I will receive the $100 the thief is trying to steal, regardless of the dispute outcome?

    Also, in your Terms of Service, section 5.8, you write:
    "Furthermore, PlayerUp may disclose the identity and contact information of any User if requested to do so by a government or law enforcement body, an injured third party, a subpoena, or any other legal action, and PlayerUp shall not be liable for damages or any other consequences thereof."

    I am calling upon those rights to receive the identity and contact information of FAL7EN.

    Don't worry PlayerUp Legal Team will go after this buyer. Meanwhile I recommend recalling the account as @Middleman informed you to do.

    Thanks for the help @Hulk. What happens when the PlayerUp Legal team goes after thieves like this guy? Do they face IRL legal consequences, or are they just forced to pay?

    And yeah, I am in the process of getting everything recalled. The Bandai Support staff is really stupid sometimes, so it will take a few days, but I'm confident I'll have the account back. It feels so good knowing how the dipshit scammer must be feeling right now... Ended up losing the money + the account for trying to scam. That will teach him a lesson for sure!
